Is it supposed to taste like that?

I purchased a box of the Chile infused snack mix from my local Sprouts on 01/17/2025. The freshest by date on the package is 01/23/2025. This was for Lot #24123. Upon the first bite there was a strange flavor that was similar to slightly rancid oil. It certainly did not taste fresh. I thought perhaps it was because of the packaging process and letting the product air out might make it less noticeable. It did not help. I have enjoyed Erin Bakers snack mixed before. I was excited about the product and wanted it to be great. granted it was not inedible, but very off-putting. I ended up throwing the product away after a couple of bites. I don't think I will try this product again.
