Nutritious Breakfast Cookie Dessert Pizza Recipe
It’s completely acceptable to eat dessert first with Erin Baker’s Breakfast Cookie Dessert Pizzas. To make this recipe even sweeter (pun intended), there is minimal prep time and we’ve already baked the crust for you!
Besides being a recipe that is easy to make, our curated ingredient list provides substantial protein and enough energy to sustain your on-the-go lifestyle. Although there are numerous dessert pizza recipes out there, what makes Erin Baker’s special is the perfect personal size and wholesome ingredients. Each three ounce cookie allows for each person to customize their dessert pizza whether it’s the Breakfast Cookie flavor or the types of fruit topping.
Before decorating, we suggest warming the cookies in the toaster. I know we said this recipe requires no baking, but you’re going to love that fresh out of the oven taste and this method requires little effort to accomplish. We love using Breakfast Cookies whenever possible and you’re going to love not having to bake crust for this recipe. Not to mention they are full of protein and fiber, but more importantly they are delicious.
We prefer using Greek yogurt because it is packed with vitamins, minerals, and probiotics. Feel free to use flavored Greek yogurt for a little extra sweetness. All types of yogurt contain calcium, potassium, protein, zinc, B6, and B12; however, Greek yogurt has twice the amount of protein and probiotics. The amount of protein in our Breakfast Cookie Dessert Pizzas will help you feel full longer than traditional dessert pizza recipes.
An excellent way to add even more health benefits to this recipe is by choosing superfoods as the topping. For example, blueberries are packed with antioxidants and phytonutrients (a substance found in certain plants which is believed to be beneficial to human health and help prevent various diseases). Strawberries are jam packed with antioxidants that improve the function of nearly every part of the body. The multiple vitamins and antioxidants in kiwi aid digestion, boost the immune system, and reduce blood clotting. You’re going to feel great knowing this recipe is benefiting your body!
We stirred freeze dried dragon fruit powder into the yogurt in order to provide even more antioxidants in this recipe. Dragon fruit is loaded with antioxidants, fiber, vitamin C, and vitamin B. Plus it adds a fun color to your dessert pizza! Speaking of fun, use heart-shaped cookie cutters to transform this recipe into a Valentine’s Day inspired occasion. The nearly endless options of this recipe create an atmosphere of fun and creativity which is always a welcome addition to any kitchen.
This is a great recipe for parties with kids or adults! Set it up buffet style and everyone can have fun decorating their own with their favorite fruits, nuts, and seeds. By turning this recipe into a fun activity, you can end sugar cravings and help everyone avoid the crash usually involved with cupcakes and other sugar dense desserts. Even better, when your child hears that they get to eat cookies and dessert they will feel like they’ve won a special prize. Not only can this nutritious pizza be used for parties, but it’s a great on-the-go alternative to toast for your daily breakfast. Make sure the fruit is sliced thin and that any nuts included are chopped or slivered to ensure easy eating. If you prefer a more rich and creamy topping you can add cream cheese to your Greek yogurt. If you’re feeling adventurous, add chia seeds for a smoothie bowl feel that will add extra health benefits to this recipe.
