One for One...Buy a Bag, Give a Breakfast!

Some of you may know about my obsession with helping kids eat healthier. For the last 5 years I have been feeding the kids at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Whatcom County breakfast in the form of Breakfast Cookies. I have always described the Breakfast Cookie as a "portable bowl of oatmeal" and to feed kids healthy and fast the Breakfast Cookie does the trick. Too many kids don't eat breakfast and this is a huge contributor to the childhood obesity epidemic.

Now I am so proud to say that my program is officially official! For every bag of my NEW Endurance Granola purchased we will provide a breakfast to a child at the Boys & Girls Clubs in Washington State... One for One! My GOAL is to feed 1 million of these kiddos! Erin Baker's Endurance Granola is the official granola of Ironman... tried, tested and loved by some of the greatest athletes in the world. With the momentum of the Ironman brand behind us I think we can really make an impact and effect change for the better.

So... more about the granola! I can't get enough of it... full of ancient grains and seeds like Buckwheat, Chia, and Quinoa. What's truly amazing is that these seeds boast complete protein (like meat protein) and this granola is ridiculously filling. If you want more protein and are avoiding soy this is the food for you! I am ALWAYS looking for ways to eat whole foods that are minimally processed on the go and this is the mother lode. I can just feel the healthy ingredients fueling me after a handful. Did you know that Buckwheat, Chia, and Quinoa are actually seeds? Here are the basics to dazzle you:
  1. Buckwheat, Chia, and Quinoa contain a full spectrum of essential amino acids, making them one of the few vegetarian sources of complete protein that equals the protein of fish or meat in quality.
    1. Oats are amazing little scrubbers of our insides, they contain soluble fiber called beta-glucans which has proven effective in lowering blood cholesterol
    2. Oats, Buckwheat, Chia, and Quinoa are classified as phytonutrients possessing health-promoting properties including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and liver health-promoting activities... ah yeah I want some of that!
My new granola is power food, alive and bursting with nutrition to help you and yours eat healthier everyday... and the BEST part is while you feed yourself you will feed a child in need.
Small acts of kindness can and will multiply to effect positive change... are you in? I am.
Change Your Food... Change Your Life!

I would love to hear from you!
